The challenge in painting with oil on drywall is the preparation of this porous material.  I used several layers of Gesso on the back, sides and front to seal the drywall. Still the absorbancy of the calcium is  demanding.

This silhouette is placed on a silver and gold oil paint that was prepared with real metal pigm
