This relatively large oil painting was done while listening to tapes of Gregorian chants. It was especially challenging since I used asphalt as part of the pigments in this painting.
This is the first in a larger series of wrapped figures done in Düsseldorf as a response to the tension and texture of wrapped sculptures I did at the academy of art in Düsseldorf.
